Future models - HSV - GrangeHSV slashes new Grange's price by $7000Top drop: Redesigned Grange goes on sale in late April. HSV prices its all-new Grange flagship under $83,000, and announces a UK export deal5 Mar 2007 By CHRIS HARRIS HOLDEN Special Vehicles (HSV) used Friday's Melbourne motor show opening to announce slick new pricing for its redesigned Grange long-wheelbase luxury sedan ahead of a market introduction late next month. To be powered by a 307kW 6.0-litre V8 mated to a six-speed (not four-speed) auto, the new Grange will be priced at $82,900 - more than $7000 less than the $89,950 pricetag commanded by its WL Statesman-based predecessor built between October 2004 and July 2006. As revealed at its unveilling at last October's Sydney motor show, standard Grange features will include magnetic ride control, a tyre-pressure monitoring system, 19-inch alloy wheels and HSV’s premium four-piston braking system. Following the unveiling of the Vauxhall VXR8 in Europe earlier this week, Holden Special Vehicles also confirmed that it has signed an export deal to ship, in the first instance, around 300 cars to the UK. ![]() Read more: HSV reveals its Grange flagship |
