To be priced from $44,400 - $4000 more than the current A200 Avantgarde - the new range-topper will feature a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine producing 142kW at 5000rpm and 280Nm of torque from 1800rpm. The standard gearbox is a six-speed manual. The A200 Turbo claims 0-100km/h acceleration of 7.5 seconds, along with average combined fuel consumption of 7.9L/100km. Based on the Avantgarde trim level, the car will be restricted to three-door versions in the first instance, and will have sports-themed enhancements such as 17-inch wheels, 288mm diameter front disc brakes and twin exhaust outlets.
