Future models - Nissan - NavaraNavara PRO-4X Warrior Concept takes shapePremcar’s Navara PRO-4X Warrior Concept hints at direction of next generation off-road ute19 Nov 2025 By MATT BROGAN NISSAN is readying its next generation PRO-4X Warrior, unveiling a concept model of its off-road favourite at the global launch of the D27 series Navara in Adelaide.
Designed again in collaboration with Premcar, the concept pairs aggressive styling with a range of functional elements Nissan says elevate the off-road capabilities of its flagship variant.
The Navara PRO-4X Warrior Concept features a comprehensive package of proposed modifications that include lifted suspension finished in Lava Red, a wider wheel track, 17-inch alloy wheels with all-terrain tyres, an enhanced bullbar design with body-coloured wings and a blackened centre section, extended front overriders for improved approach angle protection, and a unique lighting bezel once more in Lava Red.
Additional driving lights are joined by a sturdy, multi-stage underbody bash plate system, 3500kg tow bar, and additional rated recovery hooks.
The vehicle is further characterised by Lava Red feature elements on the fender flares, an integrated tub liner, gas strut tailgate assist, Warrior decals with mountain motif, a black sports bar with Lava Red Warrior branding, Warrior tailgate emblem, and Warrior branded head restraints.
Premcar chief executive officer and engineering director Bernie Quinn says the form-follows-function design philosophy of the Navara PRO-4X Warrior Concept demonstrates his firm’s belief that genuine capability enhancement must be rooted in functional improvement.
“The Warrior program has always been about understanding what Australian ute buyers truly need,” he said.
“Not just what looks good in a showroom, but what delivers genuine capability enhancement both on-road and off. This concept explores how we can apply six years of Warrior learnings and customer feedback to the advanced D27 platform.
“The new Navara provides an exceptional foundation with its redesigned chassis and rugged sophisticated suspension architecture.
“This concept demonstrates how Premcar’s proven approach to suspension tuning, wheel and tyre optimisation, and capability enhancement could elevate the D27’s already impressive performance envelope.
While the concept model is not a concrete indication that Nissan Australia will introduce a Warrior model as part of the next generation Navara line-up, the attention placed on the model at the global debut – and its appearance as all but production ready – suggests the variant is ready to take the place of its strong-selling predecessor.
“The Nissan Warrior program represents one of Nissan Australia’s most successful initiatives of the past decade,” said Nissan Oceania managing director Andrew Humberstone.
“It’s genuine proof of what can be achieved when you combine global engineering excellence with deep local market knowledge and a partner who truly understands Australian customers.
“I’m excited about the possibilities that the new Navara platform presents. It has been engineered to deliver exceptional capability and seeing how that foundation could be further enhanced through collaboration with Premcar is genuinely exciting.
“We’ll have more to share on the timing for the Warrior program next year,” he hinted.
The new D27-seres Nissan Navara will launch in Australia at the end of the first quarter of 2026.
Full specifications, model lineup details, and pricing will be announced in the lead-up to market launch.
