Volkswagen confirms Passat coupe

VOLKSWAGEN has confirmed it will build a luxury four-door coupe, based on the Passat sedan, to go head-to-head with the Mercedes-Benz CLS.

Chairman of the VW Passenger Car group, Wolfgang Bernhard, confirmed the vehicle earlier this month.

Marking a further move into sister brand Audi territory, the luxury four-seater coupe will sit between Passat and the Phaeton limousine.
