New models - Cupra - FormentorDrive-away deals on Cupra FormentorSavings of up to $8800 now available on selected Cupra Formentor variants8 Apr 2025 By MATT BROGAN CUPRA has this week announced special drive-away deals and complimentary five-year servicing packs across a range of Formentor variants – including the sporty Formentor VZx.
The deals are headlined by a saving of $8800 on the Formentor VZx which is now offered from $61,990 drive-away, while the plug-in hybrid powered Formentor VZe scores a $5825 discount in all states and territories.
Finally, the entry-grade Formentor V is discounted by $4000, now available from $47,990 drive-away.
According to Cupra Australia director Ben Wilks, the offers will sharpen the appeal of the Formentor range in a similar manner discounting of the Born model range earlier this year.
“Cupra’s strategy in early 2025 has been focused on our EVs, securing sharp pricing for the new Tavascan EV SUV and getting more Borns into the hands of more customers,” he said.
“Now, our focus is on the car that defined Cupra as a standalone brand, the Cupra Formentor.
“There is a reason more than half of the Cupras currently on the road in Australia are Formentors – no other vehicle offers the same mix of performance, practicality, and presence as our beloved sports SUV.”
The news comes as Cupra’s first quarter sales reveal mixed results for the Spanish brand.
Sales of the small-passenger segment Born are up 24.2 per cent to the end of March 2025 to 190 units, while the same segment Leon is down 18.7 per cent to just 74 units.
The Cupra Ateca SUV is down slightly, at 3.1 per cent, to 31 units, while the Formentor – which also plays in the SUV Small over $45K segment – is up 54.8 per cent to 469 units.
Cupra’s freshly introduced Tavascan has already notched up 24 unit sales in its first month on market.
