New models - Cupra - Terramar - VZeCupra prices Terramar VZe plug-in hybridWith 200kW and 110km electric range, the Cupra Terramar VZe is priced from $77,99022 Sep 2025 By MATT BROGAN CUPRA has announced pricing and specification details for its plug-in hybrid Terramar VZe, which will arrive as flagship of the medium SUV line-up in November at $77,990 before on-road costs and options.
Packing the Spanish brand’s second-generation plug-in hybrid powertrain technology under the bonnet, the Terramar VZe combines a turbocharged 1.5-litre four-cylinder petrol engine with an electric motor to deliver 200kW/400Nm to the front wheels via a six-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
Cupra claims the Terramar VZe can muster a 0-100km/h time of 7.3 seconds and travel up to 110km (WLTP) on electric power alone, which is drawn from a 20kWh lithium-ion battery pack.
Recharging is available from 11kW AC or 50kW DC inputs, while combined cycle fuel economy is listed at just 0.5 litres per 100km.
Based upon the specification of the Terramar VZ (but without that varian’t all-wheel drive), the VZe plug-in hybrid comes with 20-inch Hadron black and copper alloy wheels, adaptive damping, Matrix Ultra LED headlighting, a 360-degree camera system, keyless entry and ignition, a powered tailgate with kick sensor, heated steering wheel, Deep Burgundy leather upholstery, power adjustable and heated front seats with memory functionality, and tri-zone climate control.
Infotainment highlights include a 12-speaker Sennheiser audio bundle, 10.25-inch digital instrument screen, 12.9-inch infotainment touchscreen, native sat-nav, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, and a wireless smartphone charging pad.
Options for the Cupra Terramar VZe include Century Bronze matte paint (+$2900), Dark Void premium paint (+$620), and a panoramic sunroof (+$2000). Other paint options include Cosmos Blue, Fiord Blue, and Timanfaya Grey at no extra cost.
Standard safety technologies include front and rear acoustic parking sensors, park assist, tyre pressure monitoring, side assist, exit assist, driver monitoring, adaptive cruise control, autonomous emergency braking, speed sign recognition, lane assist, and more.
“The Cupra Terramar VZe proves that medium SUVs can be both engaging and efficient, stylish, and spacious,” said Cupra Australia head of product Jeff Shafer.
“Cupra engineers have retained the fun-to-drive focus of the Terramar, while designing a highly advanced plug-in hybrid system that simultaneously offers strong power and torque, a long electric range, DC fast charging, and low consumption.
“The powertrain and chassis fundamentals are all wrapped in a stylish SUV body with a high-quality interior that offers luxury equipment and plenty of space.”
