New models - Hyundai - i20 - ShadowHyundai i20 N Shadow Edition a fitting farewellCurrent-gen Hyundai i20 N farewelled with limited-run Shadow Edition from $41,50016 Jun 2026 By MATT BROGAN HYUNDAI is marking the end of the current generation i20 N with the limited-run Shadow Edition.
Priced from $41,500 plus on-road costs, just 100 examples of the Hyundai i20 N Shadow Edition will be made available to Australian customers, each exclusively numbered vehicle available strictly in Atlas White or Phantom Black (+$595) paint.
The i20 N Shadow Edition is further differentiated from the donor model by 18-inch Shadow Edition matte bronze flow-forged alloy wheels wrapped in Pirelli P Zero tyres, an Alcantara-wrapped N steering wheel and gear shifter, and colour-coordinated matte bronze lower door decals.
Less evident additions include Shadow Edition black wheel nuts and tailored rubber floor mats featuring the Pirelli P Zero tyre tread pattern.
Hyundai Australia COO Gavin Donaldson says that in its five years on sale, the i20 N has amassed a loyal following for its energetic 1.6-litre turbocharged engine, six-speed manual transmission, and agile chassis, all of which provide an unwavering focus on driver involvement.
“The i20 N has struck a chord with Australian customers by delivering an engaging and accessible performance car experience that’s equally at home on the road and racetrack,” he said.
“With just 100 examples available, the Shadow Edition provides a fitting farewell - its exclusive monochrome styling celebrates the i20 N’s unique character while giving enthusiasts the opportunity to own a distinctive piece of Hyundai N history.”
The Hyundai i20 N continues to go toe-to-toe with far dearer light segment hot hatch rivals that include the Mini Cooper S JCW (from $54,990 + ORC), Toyota GR Yaris (from $55,490 + ORC), and Volkswagen Polo GTI (from $41,990 + ORC).
