Based on the 2.0-litre petrol-powered SX five-door hatch, the Trophy – recycling a special edition nameplate originally used by Hyundai in 2010 – gets cosmetic tweaks comprising titanium-look 16-inch alloy wheels, rear spoiler and front fog lights. Inside, comfort is increased by the addition of cruise control, leather-trimmed gearshifter and leather-wrapped multi-function steering wheel. The Trophy is priced $1100 higher than the SX at $21,690 plus on-road costs for the manual and $23,690 for the automatic. It is available only in Ceramic White, Tropic Red, Santorini Blue and Hyper Silver paint finishes, with the metallic and mica options costing $375 extra. As with the SX, the Trophy has a five-star ANCAP crash safety rating and comes with six airbags, anti-whiplash front head restraints, electronic stability control and anti-lock brakes with electronic brakeforce distribution. Standard equipment includes air-conditioning, keyless entry, alarm, electric windows, electric mirrors, Bluetooth audio streaming, USB and auxiliary audio inputs, a chilled glovebox and five-year unlimited kilometre warranty. ![]() A second-generation i30 is expected to go on sale in the third quarter this year. The Kia Cerato Extra fits between the mid-range 2.0-litre Si and flagship SLi, and is available is either hatch and sedan body styles at $21,490 for the manual and $23,490 for the automatic, representing a premium of $1250 over the sedan or $1500 over the hatchback. Extra equipment includes Bluetooth, cruise control, rear parking sensors, 17-inch alloy wheels with full-size spare, front fog lights, leather-trimmed steering wheel with audio controls and tilt/telescopic adjustment, and chrome exhaust tips.
