New models - JAC - T9JAC Motors offers driveaway pricing on T9Two-month driveaway pricing offer to draw more buyers into JAC showrooms2 Jul 2025 By MATT BROGAN FOLLOWING last month’s announcement that it would offer fleet pricing across its T9 dual-cab utility range comes news from JAC that it will introduce driveaway pricing on Oasis and Haven grades from July 1 until August 31.
The Chinese importer will offer its T9 Oasis from $39,990 driveaway in all states and territories barring Western Australia where the variant will sell from $40,990 due to higher delivery costs.
For the flagship T9 Haven, we find a $43,990 driveaway price for states and territories excluding WA where $1000 extra is added to the deal.
JAC Motors Australia managing director Ahmed Mahmoud says the limited-time offer makes the T9 even greater value for Australians seeking class-leading safety, proven capability, and exceptional warranty coverage.
“The JAC T9 dual-cab has already proven itself as Australia’s safest ute, and now we’re making it even more compelling for Australian buyers,” he said.
“At $39,990 drive-away, the JAC T9 Oasis is outstanding value. Not only does it deliver class-leading safety in a tough and reliable package, but it also comes with the peace of mind of JAC’s industry-leading seven-year/unlimited-kilometre warranty.”
Recapping on the achievements of the JAC T9 to date, Mr Mahmoud noted the vehicle’s five-star ANCAP crash test rating, reiterating the 85 per cent Adult Occupant score, 87 per cent Child Occupant score, 87 per cent Vulnerable Road User score, and 89 per cent Safety Assist score.
JAC reiterated the ability for the T9 to carry a full-sized Australian pallet between its wheel arches, while also noting its 1045kg payload.
As before, the JAC T9 remains powered by a turbocharged 2.0-litre four-cylinder diesel engine producing 120kW/410Nm. It is paired exclusively with an eight-speed automatic transmission. Claimed combined cycle fuel consumption is listed at 7.6 litres per 100km on the more lenient NEDC cycle.
Equipment highlights for the Oasis grade include 18-inch alloy wheels, a 7.0-inch digital instrument cluster, 10.4-inch infotainment array with smartphone mirroring, LED lighting, climate control, rain-sensing wipers and more.
The flagship Haven grade adds rear privacy glass, a 360-degree camera system, and heated front seats to name a few.
Despite its bargain basement price tag, the JAC T9 has failed to ignite the interest of Australian buyers. Selling within the fiercely competitive Pick-Up/Cab-Chassis 4x4 segment, JAC has sold just 789 examples of the model since its March 2025 launch, placing it well behind segment leaders like the Ford Ranger and Toyota HiLux.
On a fairer, month-by-month footing, the JAC T9 notched up 139 sales for the month of May, placing it third last in the 16-strong segment ahead of the Jeep Gladiator (32) and GWM Ute (106).
By way of contrast, the Ford Ranger sold 4481 units across the same period, the Toyota HiLux 4208 units, and the Isuzu D-Max 2022 units.
