New models - Jaguar - F-Type - SVRJaguar farewells ICE with swansong V8 F-PaceNine decades of internal combustion Jaguars farewelled with final V8 F-Pace SVR 57516 Jun 2025 JAGUAR is sending off its petrol-powered performance era with the limited-run F-Pace SVR 575 Ultimate Edition, packing the brand's most powerful supercharged V8 engine as it prepares for an electric-only future from 2026.
The prestigious British marque is undergoing a dramatic rebirth, transitioning to a luxury-focused design philosophy and shift away from nine decades of producing some of the automotive industry’s iconic internal combustion engines at the heart of Jaguar's most desirable premium and performance cars.
The F-Pace 575 Ultimate Edition is, as the name suggests, the last of Jaguar’s SUV line-up, with just 60 units to be produced and available now for $182,235 plus on-road costs.
It carries an almost $30,000 premium over the standard F-Pace 575 but Jaguar’s engineering team was given one last chance to fettle the powerful SUV model and the on-paper results are likely to entice fans and collectors alike.
The Ultimate Edition scores Jaguar’s most powerful supercharged 5.0-litre V8 engine, producing a meaty 423kW/700Nm, propelling the five-door family hauler to 100km/h in four seconds flat.
In true F-Pace fashion, it will make a racket too, packing one of the best-sounding V8 engines remaining on the market.
Jaguar has equipped the Ultimate Edition with unique badging, 22-inch forged diamond-turned wheels, carbon-fibre trim and Ebony leather interior trim.
It will be available in four unique paint finishes, including Sorrento Yellow Gloss, British Racing Green Gloss, Icy White Gloss and Ligurian Black Satin, all complemented by an additional black exterior pack.
The SVR 575 Ultimate Edition tops the F-Pace range, sitting alongside the significantly less aggro F-Pace 90th Anniversary Edition P250 petrol and P400e plug-in electric-hybrid models.
As the company heads towards its all-electric future, the swansong V8 model offers a final taste of its rich performance heritage for fans of the brand that who are not too keen on its controversial evolution.
Late last year, the company offered a glimpse into its future at Miami Art Week, unveiling the Type 00 2+2 concept, which has not been confirmed for production but aims to showcase Jaguar's design language ahead of its relaunch.
While the brand appears to be ditching its sporting heritage, use of the ‘Type’ prefix for models will remain, dating back to iconic models like the Type C, D and E of the 1960s – but a switch to numbers is likely.
The brand’s Copy Nothing slogan – referencing the philosophy of Jaguar founder Sir William Lyons – and provocative ad campaign divided opinion, drawing widespread criticism from some and intense curiosity from others, the concept targeting a more upmarket audience than the Audi, BMW and Mercedes-Benz buyers that recent Jaguars fought for – and lost.
While nobody can predict what Jaguar’s future might look like, buyers of the F-Pace SV 575 Ultimate Edition look unlikely to be swayed by the brand’s new electric models come 2026. ![]() Read more3rd of December 2024 ![]() Jaguar Type 00 unveiled in MiamiJaguar unveils precursor to EV future with stunning concept at Miami Art WeekAll new models![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() F-Type pricing
