New models - LDV - e Deliver 5LDV eDeliver 5 lands from $47,990 d/aThird LDV battery electric van confirmed for Australia with eDeliver 5 arriving July27 May 2026 LDV has confirmed the eDeliver 5 mid-size electric van for Australia, with launch pricing from $47,990 drive-away for ABN holders and customer deliveries scheduled from July, expanding the brand’s battery electric van line-up to three models.
The first example has been air-freighted to Australia for final validation, with an expressions of interest portal now live on LDV Australia’s website and order books open at participating dealers across the country.
Opening the three-variant range is the short-wheelbase low-roof at $47,990 drive-away under a limited launch promotion for ABN holders running until July 31, 2026, stepping up to $52,990 d/a for the long-wheelbase low-roof and $54,990 d/a for the long-wheelbase high-roof.
Private buyers pay $52,621, $55,779 and $57,884 d/a respectively.
The short-wheelbase eDeliver 5 measures 4800mm long on a 3100mm wheelbase, with the long-wheelbase variants stretching to 5250mm on a 3450mm wheelbase. Both share a 1874mm width excluding mirrors and stand either 1960mm or 2180mm tall in low- and high-roof guise respectively.
Cargo volume ranges from 6.6 cubic metres in the SWB low roof to 7.5m3 for the LWB low roof and 8.7m3 for the LWB high roof, accessed via twin sliding side doors and rear barn doors that open as wide as 270 degrees with the side doors closed.
Payload runs from 1200kg in the SWB to 1265kg across both LWB variants, with gross vehicle mass of 3050kg and 3195kg respectively.
All three variants share a front-mounted 120kW/240Nm electric motor fed by a 64kWh battery pack. WLTP-rated driving range tops out at 335km for the SWB low roof, stepping down to 321km for the LWB low roof and 301km for the LWB high roof.
Its most direct rivals on dimensions, payload and pricing are the recently arrived Farizon V7E (from $49,990 d/a) and the Kia PV5 Cargo (from $55,990 before on-road costs), both of which target the same compact-to-mid-size operator segment.
The eDeliver 5 undercuts the PV5 by $8000 in base form while offering greater cargo volume, although the Kia counters with a larger 71.2kWh battery and 416km WLTP range.
Farizon, Kia and LDV are now battling it out in a previously under-served space between compact electric vans such as the Renault Kangoo E-Tech (from $44,990 + ORC) and Peugeot E-Partner (from $59,990 + ORC), and the more expensive mid-size BEVs that include LDV’s own eDeliver 7 (from $67,358 + ORC), Volkswagen’s ID. Buzz Cargo (from $69,990 + ORC) and the Ford E-Transit Custom (from $77,890 + ORC).
“There has been a seismic shift in consumer behaviour due to recent geo-political tensions, fuel insecurity, and surging diesel costs,” said LDV Australia general manager Dinesh Chinnappa.
“With that in mind we brought forward our plans to introduce the LDV eDeliver 5 to the Australian market, which is why stock will initially be limited.”
DC fast charging at up to 70kW returns the eDeliver 5’s battery from 20 to 80 per cent in about 36 minutes, according to LDV.
The eDeliver 5 is the first electric model in LDV's Australian range to feature vehicle-to-load capability, with a maximum 6.6kW output for powering mains-voltage appliances at job sites.
Warranty coverage matches the eDeliver 7 and eDeliver 9 at five years or 160,000km for the vehicle and eight years or 250,000km for the battery, whichever comes first.
Standard equipment includes a three-seat cab layout, overhead storage, vinyl flooring throughout the cabin and cargo area, a 12.3-inch infotainment screen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, FM and DAB digital radio, and a 7.0-inch digital instrument cluster.
“The LDV eDeliver 5 brings a modern and highly capable electric van for less than the price of most diesel vans,” Mr Chinnappa added.
“With its combination of price, practicality, range and payload the LDV eDeliver 5 will suit many small business operators.
“LDV has been one of the pioneers of the electric van segment in Australia and we are pleased to broaden our range to ensure there is a choice of vehicle sizes and price points.”
First customer deliveries of the eDeliver 5 are scheduled to begin in July 2026.
