New models - Range Rover - Sport SVRange Rover Sport SV Black here late ‘25Monochrome aesthetic, phenomenal twin-turbo V8 power for $336K Sport SV Black3 Jul 2025 By MATT BROGAN RANGE ROVER has previewed its Sport SV Black ahead of the model’s official unveiling at next week’s Goodwood Festival of Speed.
Finished in an all-black aesthetic, and with a phenomenal dose of twin-turbo V8 power, the Range Rover Sport SV Black is said to have left no stone unturned in its quest for a stealthy treatment, while at the same time continuing the brand’s commitment to exceptional craftsmanship and sporting finishes that “exude dramatic confidence”.
Available to order locally from “late 2025”, the Sport SV Black is available from $335,395 plus on-road costs, with first deliveries anticipated in early 2026.
Appearing as if ‘dipped in black’, the Range Rover Sport SV Black offers a bevy of blackened finishes inside and out, including for the first time on the Range Rover SV roundel and brand badges on the front grille.
Range Rover says every detail on the exterior of the vehicle has been transformed with a Gloss Black finish, bringing “an even more commanding attitude” to the most powerful Range Rover Sport ever.
“Range Rover Sport SV Black represents the essence of sporting luxury; a statement of audacious rebellion,” explained Range Rover global managing director Martin Limpert.
“We’ve created a vehicle that combines pure power and performance with a gritty, uncompromising attitude that demands attention.
“Range Rover’s design team has gone beyond anything we’ve offered previously with black packs or options, giving every single exterior and interior element a sophisticated Narvik black treatment; it appears to the eye, as if the vehicle has been dipped in gloss.
“We extend this attention to detail to new finishes for the first time on Range Rover, truly showcasing our craftsmanship.”
As noted by Mr Limpert, the Range Rover Sport SV Black features a Narvik Black finished body and full Narvik Gloss Black Exterior Pack, enhanced by a black-painted carbon fibre bonnet, Gloss Black forged 23-inch alloy wheels over Gloss Black brake callipers, and finished by Gloss Black quad exhaust outlets.
Complementing the darkened exterior, the interior of the Sport SV Black host Ebony Windsor leather upholstery, SV Black illuminated treadplates, and a Gloss Grand Black finishers, balancing, Range Rover says, the model’s “exquisitely judged blend of sporting attitude and luxurious, technical finishes”.
As noted earlier, the Range Rover Sport SV is the most powerful and dynamic Range Rover Sport yet, blending “supreme performance and dynamism with peerless Range Rover capability”.
Powered exclusively by a 467kW/750Nm twin-turbocharged 4.4-litre V8 petrol engine with 48-volt mild-hybrid assistance, the variant can accelerate from 0-60mph (96.5km/h) in 3.6 seconds on its way to a top speed of 180mph (289.7km/h).
As elsewhere in the range, the Sport SV Black is suspended by one of the most advanced suspension systems in its class, Range Rover’s 6D Dynamics Suspension, an air arrangement that replaces traditional anti-roll bars with a hydraulic interlinked system that “intelligently responds to driving styles and terrain”, reducing body roll and pitch for a more controlled and comfortable ride.
