Suzuki Oz reveals its new boss at Melbourne, where the Ionis makes its Aussie debut8 Mar 2007 By TERRY MARTIN AFTER taking the covers off new general manager Tony Devers, Suzuki Australia went one step further at the Melbourne motor show opening on Friday with the first Australian appearance of the Japanese car manufacturer’s Ionis concept. In the form of a front-drive mini-MPV, the four-seat Ionis features Suzuki’s latest hydrogen fuel-cell technology and the design and engineering improvements that can be produced as a result. These include by-wire technology (functions such as push-button steering column and gearshift), variable seating arrangements and an advanced wireless onboard entertainment system. |
