Throttle position sensing on the auto version cuts wheel slip on slippery surfaces by increasing the share of torque split to the front wheels. Drive mode selection (4WD high or low or Auto 4WD) is via a dash-mounted rotary knob. Seatbelt, headlight and key-in-ignition warning chimes and 12-volt power outlet are also standard, while an open-top console at the base of the manual gearshift has recesses for sunglasses and a cupholder.
