MUSCLE-CARS for everyone could be the theme for the new FG FPV range. Whether you want a big and powerful V8 with a loud and proud bodykit and stripes, a just as potent heavy-hitting executive cruiser without the cop-bait exterior or a tyre-searing turbo six-cylinder, the FPV FG range has all the bases covered. Both the boosted I6 and V8 are available in sedan or ute forms from next month. The cars carry over many of the changes introduced for the FG Falcon range, including double wishbone front suspension and a revised steering rack, as well as all the improvements that come with a new body and fresh interior. Most importantly, the FG cars come with more grunt than ever before. Whether you want the 315kW Boss V8 or the 310kW F6 turbo, there is more than enough punch to go around.

FPV BF range
Released: Oct 2005
Ended: May 2008
Family Tree: GTA six-speed automatic was the big news for FPV's BF-series overhaul in October 2005. The new German ZF box was added across the range, while a number of subtle exterior changes were introduced to help make each FPV look a bit more different from the next. It was a substantial step forward from the locally-made four-speed automatic that had served the range previously. The engine power, which stood at 270kW for the F6 and 290kW for the GT, did not change at BF. It was not until the limited-edition BFII Cobra arrived late last year that the power of the Boss engine was increased to 302kW.
