
It is fair to say you would have to be familiar with the previous Commodore to notice much difference in the handling, but it does exist. The changes affect the way it tracks through fast, open corners in which the old, slightly wandery rear-end needed constant steering corrections.

The back seat has the greatest usable width of the big four, a deep, supportive cushion and acres of room. The boot is also spacious but there's no 60-40 split-folding rear seat back, only a centre porthole. The lid's intrusive hinges can make things difficult if you're loaded to the brim.
