The immobiliser interfaces directly with the ECU, which ensures the transmitted sequence is in the correct sequence. If the wrong code is used twice consecutively, the engine will refuse to start. From the 2001 model year RX introduced in August, 2000, the hazard lights flashed for remote locking or unlocking. The remote was also incorporated into the key from model year 2001.
