New models - Mercedes-Benz - SprinterLimited-run commemorative Sprinter landsMercedes-Benz Vans launches 30th anniversary Sprinter model loaded with extras8 Sep 2025 MERCEDES-BENZ Vans is celebrating three decades of the iconic Sprinter nameplate with a limited-edition 30th Anniversary Edition, loading its 419 MWB (medium wheelbase) model with optional extras and a unique livery.
The nameplate launched in 1995, revolutionising the light commercial segment with its impressive array of standard features for the time, particularly around safety with disc brakes all round and, later, the introduction of stability control.
Now, 30 years later, the five millionth (you read that right) Sprinter is about to be handed over to a customer, highlighting the model’s incredible success as one of the world’s best-selling vans.
To celebrate the milestone, a limited run of only 30 of the Anniversary Edition models will be built for the Australian market, aimed at the ‘van life’ or exploration market based on specification.
The model uses the all-wheel drive Sprinter 419 MWB Panel Van, enhanced with what Mercedes-Benz claims is “over $25,000 worth of premium features”, including a five-seat crew cab package, rear tinted windows, wood flooring and black steel wheels.
In terms of visuals, the model is finished in Pebble Grey paint with exclusive ‘SPRINTER30’ graphics, sill and panel blackouts, and red and yellow lines running the length of the van.
The 419 MWB model features a 2.0-litre four-cylinder diesel engine producing 140kW/450Nm, mated to a nine-speed automatic transmission, and this particular model scores all-wheel drive.
It features a full suite of ADAS safety features, a parking package with 360-degree camera view, navigation system and a digital rear-view mirror.
"The Sprinter has been a cornerstone of our success for decades, providing businesses and individuals with a reliable and versatile vehicle for every need," said Mercedes-Benz Vans Australia managing director, Diane Tarr.
"This special edition is a tribute to the Sprinter's enduring legacy and a celebration of the adventurous spirit of our customers. We're excited to offer this unique vehicle, packed with features for life on the move."
The Sprinter 30th Anniversary Edition is available for online order only, until October 1 this year, priced at $105,931 plus on-road costs.
