News - BYDBYD introduces roadside assistance programNationwide 24/7 roadside cover via extensive Australian Motoring Services network30 Jul 2025 By MATT BROGAN BYD has teamed with Australian Motoring Services (AMS) to offer its customers 24/7 nationwide roadside assistance on all new vehicles sold.
The initiative, which BYD says aims to reflect its commitment to enhancing customer satisfaction, provides coverage via the AMS network and associated motoring clubs, including the NRMA, RACV, RACQ, RAA and RACT.
BYD says the program is further backed by its 15 in-house service centres supporting customers with expert care, maintenance, and technical support nationwide, offering coverage over a wide range of incident types, including those for flat batteries, tyre changes, and towing services.
“Our focus is on delivering peace of mind to every BYD driver,” explained BYD Australia chief operating officer Stephen Collins.
“While our vehicles are built for reliability, we understand how important it is to have trusted support available, just in case. We’re proud to partner with AMS to provide our customers with best-in-class roadside assistance.
“This is one of a number of initiatives we’re implementing to strengthen the customer’s experience, along with tripling our dealer network and doubling the size of our customer service team.”
Mr Collins said customers who purchase a new BYD vehicle from 22 July 2025 will automatically receive complementary 12-month roadside assistance, with options to renew annually.
“As more Australians choose electric vehicles, having the right support systems in place is critical,” added Australian Motoring Services chief executive officer Rebecca Stenhouse.
“This partnership brings together BYD’s innovation and our national service capability to ensure drivers can travel with confidence.
“Our teams are experienced, well-equipped, and ready to respond – whether it’s a flat tyre, a battery issue, or something more complex.” ![]() Read more18th of July 2025 ![]() BYD celebrates 60K sales in AustraliaChinese importer notches up its 60,000th Aussie sale, forecasts 40,000 sales in 202511th of June 2025 ![]() BYD Sealion 8 plugs in from Q1 2026Sealion family to grow from Q1 2026 as BYD introduces Sealion 8 PHEV to Australia |
