Genesis extends EOFY SUV price cuts

GENESIS Australia has extended its end-of-financial-year (EOFY) sales campaign until July 31 offering factory bonuses of up to $7000 on selected midsize GV70 SUV and up to $10,000 on selected large GV80 wagon and coupe SUVs.

Genesis factory bonuses (discounts) apply only to petrol models and not the single variant GV70 Electrified, which lists from $132,718 plus on-road costs.

A low-rate finance offer continues on the smaller all-electric GV60.

The GV70 and GV80 metal moving campaign’s level of discount is determined by model grade and the age of dealer stock.

Eligible GV70 2.5T variants attract factory bonuses of between $4000 and $6000 while 3.5T qualifies for discounts ranging from $5000 to $7000.

For the larger GV80, discounts span $5000 to $7000 on 2.5T variants and between $6000 and $10,000 on 3.5T variants.

The offers apply to new in-stock vehicles sold and delivered between July 1 and July 31 and are subject to vehicle availability.

The extension comes as Genesis looks to maintain momentum in Australia’s highly competitive premium SUV market.

The GV70 competes with the BMW X3, Mercedes-Benz GLC, and Audi Q5, while the GV80 rivals larger luxury SUVs including the BMW X5, Mercedes-Benz GLE, and Audi Q7.

Cumulative 2026 sales for the GV60, GV70, and GV80 to the end of June are a slow 27 units, 570 units, and 124 units respectively.

Pricing for the GV70 starts from $80,300 + ORC before applicable factory bonuses for the 2.5T Advanced.

Power is provided by a 224kW/422Nm turbocharged 2.5-litre four-cylinder petrol engine driving all four wheels through an eight-speed automatic transmission, with Genesis claiming a 0-100km/h time of 6.2 seconds.

Stepping up to the 3.5T brings a 279kW/530Nm twin-turbocharged V6 that reduces the benchmark sprint to a claimed 5.2 seconds.

Standard equipment on the GV70 Advanced includes a panoramic sunroof, leather upholstery, heated and ventilated power-adjustable front seats, and Genesis' 27.0-inch integrated infotainment and digital instrument display.

The larger GV80 range opens from $119,928 + ORC for the 2.5T Signature AWD, while V6-powered variants start from $131,928 + ORC.

Regardless of engine, the GV80 features adaptive suspension, 22-inch alloy wheels, leather upholstery, heated, ventilated and massage front seats. and the brand’s 27.0-inch panoramic display.

V6 variants additionally gain an electronic limited-slip differential, while buyers can specify a six-seat configuration with second-row captain’s chairs.

The related GV80 Coupe also forms part of the campaign, featuring unique exterior styling, carbon-fibre interior trim, and an electrically adjustable second row.

Genesis Finance continues to offer a promotional 5.99 per cent per annum comparison rate on in-stock MY27 GV60 Advanced electric SUVs.

The finance offer requires a minimum deposit of $8830 and is available to approved applicants on loans of up to 60 months, with applications required by July 31 and settlement by August 14.

Genesis says the finance campaign is available only on new in-stock vehicles and excludes fleet, government, and rental customers.

The latest incentives follow the recent arrival of the high-performance 478kW GV60 Magma, which introduces Genesis’ new Magma performance sub-brand to Australia.
